MADSTYLED License Agreement

This License Agreement is between you and MADSTYLED LLC, a New York limited liability company ("MADSTYLED," "we," "us"). It covers what you may and may not do with MADSTYLED. You agree to it by checking the box when you first open the app.

What you may do

• Use MADSTYLED for your own personal styling and wardrobe, on up to 5 devices you own or use.
• Keep using it after your year of included updates ends.
• Share chosen pieces from your closet with another MADSTYLED user, using the app’s Share feature, and open pieces others share with you.
• Keep and send the pictures the app makes for you (Save as photo, Year in review and backup files) however you like.

What you may not do

• Share, lend, give or sell your license key or your access to anyone else, including family and friends. Each person who wants to use MADSTYLED needs their own license.
• Copy, resell, redistribute or sublicense the app, in whole or in part.
• Reverse-engineer or modify the app to get around the license check, rebrand it, or build a competing product from it.
• Use the MADSTYLED name, logo or branding for anything other than referring to the app.
• Use MADSTYLED to share photos you don’t have the right to share, or give it pictures (for example in Inspiration photo or The Mirror) that you don’t have the right to use.
• Use an Anthropic account or key that isn’t yours to use for personal purposes, such as an employer’s.

Your license key

Your license key is checked with our checkout company, Gumroad, when you first enter it on a device, and again about once a day when you have an internet connection. Being offline never stops the app. A busy or unclear answer from the license check never locks you out. If a key is refunded, charged back, disputed, shared in breach of this License, or otherwise switched off, the app will ask for a valid key at its next check.

Your data

Your closet, photos, profile and history are stored only on your own device. We never receive them, so we can’t recover them for you if they’re lost. You are solely responsible for backing them up, using the app’s backup feature, and for keeping a copy somewhere other than your device. The ways this information can be lost, and the ways the app warns you, are listed in the Terms of Sale under "Your closet and backups." To the fullest extent the law allows, MADSTYLED LLC is not responsible for any loss of this information. Backup files and shared-pieces files are files you control; keep them somewhere safe. Your Anthropic key is stored only on your device and is left out of backups. Details are in the Privacy Policy.

Your AI account

MADSTYLED’s AI features connect directly from your device to your own Anthropic account. Your use of Anthropic is governed by Anthropic’s terms, and any costs are yours. MADSTYLED is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Anthropic, Apple or Gumroad. "Claude" is a trademark of Anthropic. iPhone and iPad are registered trademarks of Apple Inc.

Open-source parts

MADSTYLED uses a few free, open-source pieces, each under its own license. Their full license texts are in the app, under About MADSTYLED, Credits and legal.

• ONNX Runtime Web (Microsoft), which runs the background cut-out tool on your device: MIT License.
• U²-Net (the small model the cut-out tool uses): Apache License 2.0.
• Fraunces and Inter (the app’s fonts): SIL Open Font License 1.1.

Weather comes from the US National Weather Service, and the list of US towns and ZIP codes from the US Census Bureau. Both are public domain, and neither endorses MADSTYLED.

Ownership

MADSTYLED LLC owns the app, its code, its design, its written content and the MADSTYLED™ name and logo. MADSTYLED is a trademark of MADSTYLED LLC (US application filed October 4, 2026). Your purchase gives you the right to use it as described here; it doesn’t transfer any ownership.

"As is"

MADSTYLED is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises or warranties beyond those written in these documents, including any implied promises about fitness for a particular purpose. We don’t promise the app will always be available or error-free, or that its suggestions will be right for you.

Limit on our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, MADSTYLED LLC’s total responsibility for any claim relating to MADSTYLED is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, including anything you spend on your own Anthropic account, data lost on your device, or decisions you make based on the app’s suggestions. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

Ending this License

This License continues until it ends. It ends if you get a refund (including one issued by our checkout company), or if you seriously break it (for example, by sharing your key). If it ends, you must stop using MADSTYLED.

The rest

• MADSTYLED is sold in the United States only.
• We may update this License. If a change matters to you, the app will ask you to agree again.
• This License is governed by the laws of the State of New York.

MADSTYLED AI Statement

MADSTYLED uses artificial intelligence, Anthropic’s Claude, to read your clothing photos, build outfits, answer your styling questions in a chat, give feedback in The Mirror, recreate a look from an Inspiration photo using your own clothes, plan outfits for coming days and trips, and look up what is currently in fashion (Trending now).

Before you see a suggested outfit, the app checks it against dressing rules of its own (for example, that its pieces suit the same occasion and the weather, and that its colors go together), and the AI looks over a picture of the finished outfit. These checks reduce poor suggestions but cannot catch every one. Quick pick uses the app’s own rules without the AI.

AI can be wrong. It can misread a photo, misjudge a color, pattern or fit, or suggest something that isn’t right for you, the weather or the occasion. Its suggestions are ideas and opinions, not facts, and not professional advice of any kind, including fashion, medical or otherwise. You always decide what to wear.

The stylist is told to be kind and honest, to use only pieces you own (except that finishing touches and the chat stylist may mention an everyday accessory you probably have, phrased as "if you have one", and it never names a product or a store), and never to suggest buying anything. When a look you ask for needs something you don’t own, it says so plainly. It is not told your name, and it doesn’t see your profile photo or the brand, size or care notes on your pieces. Pieces you mark as ones you won’t wear are never sent to it.

In The Mirror and Inspiration photo, the AI looks at clothes. It is told to describe the outfit, not the person, and MADSTYLED doesn’t identify people or use facial recognition. Those pictures are used to answer and aren’t kept by the app.

MADSTYLED LLC does not guarantee the accuracy or suitability of any suggestion and isn’t responsible for the outcome of following one.
